Although women in Israel are participating in the labor market in growing numbers, and many are highly educated and hold central roles in the economy, pay gaps remain high and persistent. The gap in average monthly pay between women and men has remained stable over the past decade, standing at 34% in 2022. The gap in average hourly pay has widened in recent years, rising from 14.8% in 2012 to 21% in 2022.
